Is the baseline climate available as a dataset?

Yes, a 25 km baseline limate for the UK (1961–1990) is available for the aggregated regions and 25km grid squares from the Met Office website.. 

In detail

In order to obtain climate projections (i.e. estimates of absolute future climate), the UKCP09 probabilistic projections of change are added to the observed baseline climate of 1961–1990. The choice of climate change projections or climate projections is made in the UKCP09 User Interface, although the baseline climate dataset is not available from the User Interface.

Note that the baseline climate has the following limitations:

• It is not available for all variables in UKCP09
• It is not available for the marine regions.
