Will UKCP09 tell me if my house is likely to get flooded in the future?

No.

In detail

UKCP09 will give data for sea level rise for regions around the UK coast, and information on precipitation patterns, but will not give information on associated impacts such as flooding. It is expected that UKCP09 data will be used in impacts modelling, such as that related to flooding, which can then be used to inform policy-making. It should also be kept in mind that socio-economic factors (such as future development), and future adaptations (such as the building of flood defences) also have a major affect on flood risk for particular areas. The Environment Agency is the leading body for flood measures and guidance for England and Wales.
