UKCP09 Users' Panel

A group of users of climate change scenarios whose views were sought to inform decisions about aspects of UKCP09 during its production and delivery.

In detail

Membership of the UKCP09 Users’ Panel is selected based on member’s expertise and ability to represent the needs of their respective communities or sectors. The Users’ Panel operates using a flexible meeting schedule, based on the development schedule of UKCP09, and includes face-to-face and conference call meetings as well as email-based consultation.

The UKCP09 Users’ Panel, UKCP09 Project Management Group and UKCP09 Steering Group are the three components of the UKCP09 management structure.

The Users' Panel was formed in January 2007, and it is anticipated that it will remain as a group beyond the launch of UKCP09 in order to guide the further development of the User Interface, UKCP09 extras, and accompanying guidance and training.
