UKCP09 in practice places the projections in context by providing examples of how users have used dummy UKCP09 output to undertake a number of varied projects.
In this section you will find:
- Examples of good practice – There are many ways of using UKCP09 and each of these examples exhibit just one way that the data may be used. It is important to recognise that these are only examples of good practice so should not be seen as best practice or the only way of using the projections. These are only examples of how the authors have used, or thought about using, the projections.
- Inappropriate uses – It is important to use the most appropriate UKCP09 product for the task in hand – each product has different strengths and weaknesses. The examples in this section provide some illustrations of situations where the UKCP09 products could be used inappropriately and the intended use or interpretation is inappropriate.
