Does the Weather Generator give an indication of future extreme rainfall?

Yes, the Weather Generator can be used to estimate some extremes by generating long sequences of daily climate output. However, daily rainfall extreme statistics for return periods longer than 25 years should be used with caution.  Hourly statistics are subject to even more uncertainty, therefore return periods longer than 10 years should be used with caution.

In detail

Users can define their own set of extremes and extract the values from the Weather Generator series. There is also a stand-alone Threshold Detector tool that has a number of standardised thresholds as well as the functionality for users to define their own threshold.

Limitations to be aware of when investigating extremes with the Weather Generator are outlined in Chapter 5 of the Weather Generator report.
