Deterministic
Output, for example from a single run of a typical climate model with no random or stochastic component, that is based solely on the inputs (e.g. the model, its input parameter values, and the initial conditions).
In detail
The UKCIP02 projections are an example of deterministic climate projections. They provided a single value climate projection with no associated probability of likelihood.
UKCP09 is probabilistic, so will not provide a single (deterministic) value but will provide a range of projections with associated probabilities assigned to points in the range.
