csv file format
.csv stands for Comma Separated Values, which is a standard ASCII format.
In detail
One of the file formats that can be exported from the UKCP09 User Interface .csv file format is ideal for viewing data as text or in an Excel spreadsheet. It is less suitable for extracting large amounts of data (more than 10,000 rows, which is the limit in older versions of Excel), for which netCDF file format is better suited.
