How does UKCP09 model sea level rise?

UKCP09 uses two types of sea level rise scenarios.

UKCP09 provides two types of sea level rise scenarios:

a range of sea level projections based on climate modelling from the Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change’s 4th Assessment Report (IPCC AR4);

a low probability, high impact range for sea-level rise called the , which is developed from palaeoclimatic proxy data.
